1. Orders and Payment:
Jewel of the Lotus (JOL Int’l, Inc.) welcomes you to our online ordering system. All payments must be made in advance by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover) or other cleared funds (for special orders only). All online transactions are processed using Square or Paypal. 2. Special Orders:
We can take your custom orders for handmade jewelry items or quantities of certain items. All custom design request orders must be accompanied by a 50% advance deposit. All special ordered items are non-returnable and non-refundable unless agreed to in advance. Your deposit is considered a commitment to accept the order and is only refundable at our discretion or you may exchange certain items for credit towards other merchandise. If you cancel your order, we will however do our best to honor your refund request.
Returns for refund or credit will be accepted up to 10 days after receipt of merchandise. Exchanges may be made up to 30 days after receipt of merchandise. All returns most be approved or will be rejected. Any returns made after 30 days will be either returned to sender or credited to your account at our discretion. All return shipping must be paid by the customer. All returns are subject to a 5% restocking fee (may vary based on the total order amount), which will be deducted from your account. Along with shipping and insurance charges, the transaction charges for credit card payments by our merchant services company will also be deducted from the refund of any item returned within the allotted 10 days after receipt.
4. Errors / Omissions and Damages:
It is the customer’s responsibility to check all orders for accuracy, completeness and damages upon receipt. Errors, omissions and damaged merchandise must be reported within 10 days of receipt of merchandise in order to be eligible for remuneration. If we or our shipping agents are found to be at fault, remuneration will consist of either replacement of or refund for damaged merchandise. In the case of incomplete or incorrect orders we will either correct the order or make necessary adjustments for further credit or debit to the credit card used in the transaction. Additional shipping for replacement or corrections to such orders will be paid at our expense. In no case will JOL or its affiliates be liable for damages or claims beyond the remunerations stated above.
5. Shipping & Handling within the US:
Shipping is done via insured USPS Priority or FedEx for express delivery, FOB Hawaii. Shipping to East coast and rural areas takes minimum of 2 business days. Shipping within the U.S takes maxium approximately 4-8 days. Please note: due to our remote location actual delivery time may vary depending on shipment destination. Most orders are filled within 24 hours and FedEx orders are given priority treatment. All return shipping charges must be paid by the customer and won’t be reimbursed except for replacement of items that were damaged or misplaced due to our fault.
6. Shipping & Handling for International Orders:
We ship internationally via FedEx only. International orders will be subject to a surcharge according to the size, weight and price of an item to cover additional shipping and insurance expenses. Total cost will be calculated on an individual basis.
7. Your Personal Information Security:
Our website provides state of the art Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption for all personal data submitted by you to our server. This is the same level of security provided by virtually all major internet commerce sites. For safety reasons we do not store your credit card information in our database. Rest assured that we do not share any other personal information with any corporation or individual unless required to by law. We also do not use your data for unrequested advertisements (spam).
