Beautiful, convertible ring by the owner and designer Tsajon. It is 2.56 carats of diamonds and 1.70 carats of Tsavorite and the stones are “Princess” square cut and channel set in 18k yellow gold. The 2.56ct. of VS1 diamonds are off set for more brilliance. The stones are set 6 by 6 on a slightly rounded bezel making it possible to see the stones underneath. You can flip this ring to reveal a whole new look with diamonds on one side and tsavorite on the other! The simple beauty of this design is that all the stones must be of the same quality, color, cut and size which is why we use only the best quality stones. Interesting facts about diamonds: The name diamond is derived from the ancient Greek (adámas), “proper”, “unalterable”, “unbreakable, untamed”. Diamonds are thought to have been first recognized and mined in India, where significant alluvial deposits of the stone could then be found many centuries ago along the rivers Penner, Krishna and Godavari. Diamonds have been known in India for at least 3,000 years but most likely 6,000 years. Diamonds have been treasured as gemstones since their use as religious icons in ancient India. Their usage in engraving tools also dates to early human history. Popularity of diamonds has risen since the 19th century because of increased supply, improved cutting and polishing techniques, growth in the world economy, and innovative and successful advertising campaigns.
